||||
| The seventh record from the Open to the Sea project (Enrico Coniglio, Saverio Rosi and Matteo Uggeri), Beyond the Emotional Flood, was created between Venice, Amsterdam and Milan over a five-month period in 2023, during which the three musicians experienced, separately yet synchronically connected, moments carrying an intense emotional weight. Channeling these experiences into the four Acts that structure the album's 10 tracks allowed them to sublimate the emotional flood referenced in the title. The record is released three years later on LP (via Secret Lovers, USA) and CD (via Silentes, ITA), with artwork that unfolds step by step, from the cover (a painting by Polish artist Marta Mez) to the inner posters, weaving a narrative shrouded in mystery. Sounds and words guide the listener through an intertwining of stories, drawn from messages collected during that span of time. Parallel lives, of people who don't know each other, yet connected, bound by colored threads invisible to the human eye.
